ESG Consultant - Othello International
About Othello
Othello International is a Thai professional services firm serving more than 100 listed companies on the Stock Exchange of Thailand. We combine Thai-English translation, legal and intellectual property, and ESG & sustainability advisory in one integrated practice. We are building out our ESG team to meet the rapid growth in demand driven by FTSE Russell's 2026 transition, IFRS S2 adoption, Thailand's Climate Change Act, and EU CBAM.
About the role
We are hiring an ESG Consultant to join our growing sustainability practice. You will report directly to our Managing Partner, ESG & Green Finance, and work alongside experienced linguists, legal counsel, and business development colleagues to deliver sustainability advisory work to Thai listed companies.
This is a hands-on role with substantial client exposure, where you will build deep technical expertise across ESG disclosure frameworks while developing senior advisory skills under experienced mentorship.
What you will do
- Conduct FTSE Russell ESG Scores gap analysis for SET-listed clients and develop actionable response plans
- Draft IFRS S2 and TCFD climate-related disclosures for clients' sustainability and annual reports
- Support GHG inventory development (Scope 1, 2, 3) and Thailand Climate Change Act Phase 1 readiness assessments
- Contribute to CBAM reporting support for Thai exporters to the European Union
- Assist in drafting green loan and sustainability-linked loan framework documents, using ICMA Green Bond Principles and ASEAN Sustainability Bond Standards
- Coordinate with Othello's linguist team on bilingual delivery of sustainability reports, policies, and disclosure materials
- Use Othello's proprietary ESG AI platform for structured gap analysis and advisory workflow
- Participate in client meetings, workshops, and regulatory briefings alongside senior team members
- Contribute to internal methodology development and knowledge management
What we are looking for
- 3 – 5 years of experience in ESG, sustainability, or climate advisory, ideally at a Big Four firm, international ESG consultancy, or in-house sustainability function of a listed company
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with at least two of: sustainability report drafting (56-1 One Report or GRI-aligned), FTSE Russell or equivalent ESG scoring methodologies, IFRS S2 or TCFD disclosure, GHG inventory (ISO 14064 or GHG Protocol), CBAM reporting, or green bond / SLL framework work
- Thai language fluency (native or fully professional, written and spoken) and strong written English
- Strong analytical and drafting skills; comfortable producing client-ready deliverables
- Bachelor's degree minimum; Master's in sustainability, environmental science, business, or finance is a plus
- Credentials a plus but not required: CFA ESG Certificate, GRI Certified Sustainability Professional, SCR (Sustainability and Climate Risk), IFRS S2 technical training
- Comfortable working in a small, growing team with direct senior partner access
What we offer
- Competitive compensation (commensurate with experience), with performance bonus structure
- Direct mentorship from a senior ESG partner with Big Four and international advisory background
- Meaningful client exposure from day one — not buried in the hierarchy of a large firm
- Clear career path: ESG Consultant → Senior Consultant → Manager within a firm actively scaling its ESG practice
- Technical training and certification support (FTSE Russell, IFRS S2, GRI, ISO 14064 and others as relevant)
- Integrated work environment combining translation, legal, and advisory capabilities under one roof
