We all take initiative and remain adaptable, overcoming obstacles by prioritizing respect.Position DescriptionOrigis Energy is seeking an experienced, technically focused Project Leader to be responsible for the complete execution life cycle of project(s) from Development thru to Operations. The Project Leader will report to the Vice President of Project Delivery and other departmental leaders to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesManagement Duties:Work closely with Project Development to understand real estate, legal, environmental, permitting, constructability, and interconnection issuesAccountable for EPC budgets and schedules from early-stage Development through EPC executionClose engagement/support of internal Finance teamProject schedule managementCommunicates critical development, design, permitting, supply chain, preconstruction, and contract milestones with all internal and external stakeholdersIdentifies and communicates potential high-risk items to the Management team and develops action plans to address themEPC scope of work developmentInternal management presentations/updates Communicates overall EPC strategy/approach in close coordination with Contracts team to facilitate the EPC RFP process and selectionDrives the EPC negotiations to timely execution while aligning with cost, schedule, and commercial targets of the projectLeads kickoff meetings to transition projects from Precon through execution.Project status reportingEngineering Duties:Drive value engineering effortsCoordinate with Engineering on solar and energy storage plant designs to optimize energy production vs project site constructability cost considerationsManage multiple 3rd party consultants/engineersProcurement Duties:Coordinate with Supply Chain team to evaluate current best-in-class offerings from major equipment suppliers3rd Party EPC bidding and contractingConstruction Duties:EPC contract managementCoordinate with construction site teamsInterconnection Utility interfaceDrive closeout and turnover coordination with operationsPreferred QualificationsStrong technical solar backgroundLarge utility scale solar experience idealBESS experience idealComprehension of solar cost structureExperience in EPC contract negotiations and managementProven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlinesTechnical or Business degree requiredProfessional certification (PE, RA, or other) preferredKey Attributes for SuccessStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently on multiple tasks with minimal supervisionExcellent organizational skills and time management skillsExcellent attention to detailAbility to perform in a high-growth, fast-paced, collaborative work environmentAbility to lead multidisciplinary team meetings to achieve desired outcomesProven business acumen skillsTeam player; ability to work with multidisciplinary teamAbility to work with all levels of managementPossess a "get it done" mentalityStrong organization, problem-solving, and analytical skillsWillingness to step in and take on additional tasks in order to support the larger teamVersatility, flexibility and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasmGood judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisionsLocation Austin TX; Miami FL; remote considered for the right candidateTravel Up to 40% travel as neededJob Level Manager or Senior Project Manager depending on candidate - no direct reportsOrigis Energy is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOC).
