Senior Principal Program Manager, Sustainability Public Policy
Job Description
As an influential senior individual contributor within the Oracle Cloud organization, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing sustainability strategies to navigate complex global regulatory, policy, and geopolitical landscapes. You will drive engagement with policymakers, standards bodies, industry associations, etc. to advance Oracle’s sustainability objectives, ensure compliance, and promote our leadership in responsible business practices. We’re looking for an experienced leader who will help protect and advance our business interests, reputation, and growth in diverse markets.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Policy Analysis & Advocacy: Monitor, analyze, and report on relevant legislative, regulatory, and standards developments globally; identify opportunities and risks for the company.
Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain strategic relationships with government representatives, regulators, NGOs, and industry groups to influence sustainable policy outcomes.
Standards Participation: Represent Oracle in relevant standards-setting organizations and industry initiatives (e.g. ISO, CEBA, CDP, etc.), advocating for practical and ambitious sustainability standards.
Internal Collaboration: Partner with executive and cross-functional teams (legal, compliance, operations, communications, product) to align sustainability strategy with policy trends and drive organizational readiness for new regulations.
Thought Leadership: Develop and communicate the company’s position through white papers, consultation responses, policy briefings, and public forums; actively contribute to Oracle’s external reputation as a sustainability leader.
Risk and Compliance: Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on compliance with emerging regulations and voluntary commitments.
Reporting: Track and report on public policy developments, engagement activities, and outcomes for executive leadership and external reporting requirements.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Law, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience, including leadership roles in public affairs, regulatory advocacy, corporate sustainability, or related domains; substantial experience engaging with policy institutions or standards bodies highly preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of global sustainability standards, frameworks, and regulatory trends (such as ESG disclosure, climate policy, and circular economy initiatives).
- Proven track record of high-level stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and thought leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex global projects in a large organization.
- Excellent communication, strategy, and analytical skills.
- Experience with corporate sustainability reporting and disclosures (e.g., CDP, TCFD, statutory).
- Familiarity with digital transformation in sustainability or experience in the technology sector.
