Position Overview



We are seeking an experienced Canvass Manager to build, train, and lead a high-performance door-to-door canvassing team. This role is hands-on, leadership-driven, and growth-focused. You will be responsible for recruiting canvassers, setting daily field strategy, tracking performance, and consistently delivering qualified homeowner appointments to our sales team.


This is not an entry-level role. We are looking for someone who has already managed canvassing teams and understands how to scale door-knocking operations profitably.





Key Responsibilities




Team Building & Leadership



  • Recruit, onboard, and train new canvassers
  • Conduct daily morning meetings, role-plays, and field coaching
  • Set clear expectations, goals, and accountability standards
  • Create a competitive, positive, and high-energy team culture




Field Operations



  • Assign territories and optimize canvassing routes
  • Lead by example by canvassing in the field when needed
  • Ensure quality conversations, proper pitch delivery, and professionalism
  • Oversee compliance with company scripts, branding, and ethics




Performance & Metrics



  • Track daily KPIs:
    • Doors knocked
    • Conversations
    • Qualified leads
    • Set and kept appointments
  • Work closely with sales managers to ensure lead quality
  • Identify underperformance and implement corrective training




Strategy & Growth



  • Help develop and refine door-to-door scripts and objections
  • Coordinate with marketing and management on promotions and incentives
  • Scale the canvassing team as new markets open
  • Provide feedback to leadership on market conditions and homeowner trends






Required Experience & Qualifications



  • 2+ years managing or leading door-to-door canvassing teams
  • Experience in solar, roofing, telecom, alarms, or home services preferred
  • Proven ability to recruit, train, and retain canvassers
  • Strong leadership, communication, and motivational skills
  • Comfortable working in the field and outdoors daily
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally
  • Results-driven mindset with strong accountability
