The Role
Optimise Energy Solutions, a leading provider of energy management solutions, is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth and expand our sales team.
The role is focused on identifying key property portfolio partners for OES to design, deliver and coordinate projects that enable OES to continue to helping clients get one step closer to net zero. The ideal candidate will be structured and organised and have an inquisitive and growth mindset.
You will also undertake a broad range of duties in this dynamic role that include, but are not limited, to the following:
Responsibilities:
·Achieve and exceed individual sales targets through effective sales strategies
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners, identifying new business opportunities
- Liase with site managers, and other key stakeholders to ensure access and accuracy for site surveys and associated operational requirements as part of the deal cycle.
- Establish robust high-level relationships with OES core Manufacturing and Installation partners, with a view to maintaining strong product knowledge to assist in developing turnkey solutions whilst also identifying opportunities within their network for OES to assist with our Lighting as a Service Proposition.
- Conduct market research to stay informed on key industry drivers such as Net Zero and ESG commitments, NABERS ratings, national rebate schemes and other related sustainability mandates with a view to incorporating into the OES Sales and Marketing Offering.
- Update and enhance internal CRM system to enable growth within the Sales Function as the business
- Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management, effectively communicating progress and opportunities
Requirements:
- 5+ years of sales experience, with a proven track record of exceeding targets in the energy management or related as a service type offering.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels
- Experience with enterprise level sales cycles and an established network in Government, Major Infrastructure and Commercial Property would be highly advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of the energy management industry and its regulations preferred.
- Leadership experience in managing and developing sales teams would be highly regarded.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically as required
