About OLGE
The Open Library on Green Economy (OLGE) is a nonprofit knowledge initiative being built as a public good. Its purpose is to make sustainability, climate, and green economy knowledge more accessible, grounded, and useful for real-world decision-making. OLGE functions as an open knowledge infrastructure rather than a consultancy, advocacy platform, or media outlet.
About the Expert Insights Series
The Expert Insights Series is a curated knowledge stream within OLGE that brings practitioner-led perspectives into the public domain. The series focuses on applied insight, institutional learning, and reflective analysis drawn from real-world experience across policy, finance, industry, research, and implementation.
Role Overview
Expert Contributors are invited to share their perspective, experience, and thinking with a wider public audience through short-form written or conversational contributions. Contributors should have a background in sustainability, with applied knowledge across domains such as sustainable aviation, low‑carbon transport and mobility, sustainable supply chains and logistics, circular economy and waste management, sustainable agriculture and food systems, forestry and fisheries, sustainable real estate and green buildings, urban planning and resilient infrastructure, water stewardship and water management, the energy transition including renewables, grids, storage and hydrogen, climate policy, mitigation and adaptation, biodiversity and nature‑based solutions, ocean and coastal conservation, sustainable finance, ESG, impact investing and carbon markets, manufacturing and materials including cement, steel, chemicals and textiles, mining and extractives, shipping and ports, tourism, health and pharmaceuticals, digital sustainability and data centres, as well as sustainability measurement, reporting, verification, life‑cycle assessment, standards and disclosure. This is a non-executive, non-commercial, and flexible engagement designed for experienced professionals who wish to contribute to public knowledge without long-term commitments.
This is not a job in the conventional sense. It is a voluntary knowledge contribution role aligned with academic, professional, and institutional norms of public scholarship.
Nature of Engagement
• Flexible and non-binding
• Contribution-based, not time-bound
• No operational or organisational responsibilities
• No exclusivity or representation expectations
Contributors may engage once or periodically, depending on interest and availability.
Types of Contributions
• Short essays or reflective notes (800 to 1,500 words)
• Practitioner perspectives on emerging issues
• Lessons from projects, institutions, or policy processes
• Thematic explainers grounded in experience rather than theory
All contributions are editorially supported(only if explicitly asked for) and published with appropriate attribution.
Who Should Consider This Role
This role is well suited for:
