Op2mize Energy is looking for a driven and entrepreneurial Business Development professional to join our growing team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on building relationships, identifying opportunities, and driving new business in the dynamic energy sector.

About the Role

As a Business Development professional, youll be responsible for growing our client base and expanding Op2mize Energys presence in the market. Youll work closely with leadership to develop strategic outreach, build trusted relationships, and help organizations optimize their energy spend and sustainability strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage prospective clients across commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors
  • Manage strategy and operations for marketing and customer relations activities
  • Manage sales functions of the business
  • Develop and execute new business strategies to drive revenue growth
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through consultative selling
  • Collaborate with our team to deliver tailored energy solutions
  • Represent Op2mize Energy at industry events, networking opportunities, and client meetings
  • Provide feedback to company leadership on sales related topics

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Chicago-based professional (hybrid role: remote + in-person meetings)
  • Experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management (energy or real estate background a plus)
  • Strong communicator, negotiation skills and network builder with a results-oriented mindset
  • Self-starter who enjoys autonomy and is motivated by growth opportunities
  • Demonstrated track record of increasing revenue through generation of leads
