Assignment Description:

We are looking for an Azure Data Engineer at RVO. This role does not involve the development of the Data and Analytics platform itself. You will, for example, help further develop CI/CD pipelines and unlock source systems. Additionally, you will assist other teams in realizing data products on the platform. This includes, among other things, datasets and reports, as well as newly developed data science applications such as chatbots. We are setting up this platform and are looking for a highly experienced engineer who can help us set up (parts of) the platform.

You will work independently and without supervision to realize:

  • Setting up tooling on Azure (including Azure Data Factory, Databricks, PowerBI, Microsoft DevOps).
  • Unlocking and refining sources in Databricks.
  • Accelerating and automating ML/AI workloads and the data science work environment within Databricks.
  • Further automating the GIT CI/CD workflow for data products.
  • Working on the further professionalization of the data platform and documenting it in our wiki.
  • Setting up DevOps Pipelines, unlocking data with Python/PySpark, and a bit of Terraforming.
  • You will contribute ideas about MLops setup for data science products.
  • Furthermore, since Azure and Databricks are new to a large part of the organization, you will transfer your knowledge and enthusiastically guide colleagues in this new way of working.
