FUNDRAISING & PARTNERSHIPS COORDINATOR - ONE MILLION LIGHTS PHILIPPINES

Terms of Employment: Full-time

Location: Remote work but must be based in the Philippines; must be ready to travel

Reports to: Program Director

Salary: PHP 28,000 - 30,000

Start Date: January 2026

YOUR ROLE

The Fundraising and Partnerships Coordinator is responsible for leading OML’s strategic partnerships, fundraising, and external engagement efforts. This role develops and manages relationships with funders, corporate sponsors, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), government agencies, and other stakeholders to advance OML’s mission of providing sustainable energy solutions to off-grid communities. The Fundraising and Partnerships Coordinator ensures that partnership initiatives are aligned with organizational goals, financially viable, and have measurable impact.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


As Fundraising and Partnerships Coordinator, you will have the following responsibilities:


Partnership Development & Fundraising

  1. Identify, cultivate, and secure funding from corporate partners, philanthropic foundations, bilateral/multilateral agencies, and individual donors.
  2. Co-develop compelling partnership proposals, sponsorship packages, and grant applications with the Program Director.
  3. Negotiate partnership terms, contracts, and agreements.
  4. Maintain a robust pipeline of prospects and track engagement progress.


Relationship Management

  1. Serve as a liaison for high-value partners and funders.
  2. Build strong, long-term relationships through regular communication, progress updates, and impact reporting.
  3. Organize and host partnership events, recognition programs, and donor visits to project sites.
  4. Ensure that partner expectations are met and commitments are fulfilled on time.


Partnership Communications

  1. Collaborate with the communications team to create materials that support partner engagement (e.g., decks, reports, updates).
  2. Ensure accurate and consistent messaging in proposals, reports, and partner-facing communication.
  3. Support visibility opportunities for partners through coordinated announcements, social media mentions, or events (in coordination with the comms team).


Reporting & Compliance

  1. Track and report on partnership performance, including financial contributions, deliverables, and impact metrics.
  2. Ensure compliance with donor reporting requirements, including financial and narrative reports.
  3. Maintain an updated database of partner contacts, agreements, and historical records.


Additional Responsibilities

  1. Represent OML and high value donors in a clean, courteous, and professional manner.
  2. Stay updated on industry trends, renewable energy innovations, and relevant policies to inform program strategies and partnerships.
  3. Undertake any other tasks, duties, or responsibilities assigned by the Program Director, as informed through formal notice, to contribute to the successful execution of OML’s mission and programs.


Qualifications

Education & Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Development Studies, Marketing, Communications, or a related field are preferred but are not required.
  2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in partnership development, fundraising, or corporate relations, preferably in the NGO, social enterprise, or renewable energy sector.
  3. Proven track record of securing significant funding and managing strategic partnerships.


Skills & Competencies

  1. Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Filipino. Skills in speaking and writing in other local languages are a plus.
  3. Ability to develop persuasive proposals and deliver compelling presentations.
  4. Strong project management and organizational skills.
  5. Familiarity with renewable energy, sustainability, or community development programs is an advantage.
