OMG Organic Microgreens Pvt. Ltd. is a youth led social enterprise working at the intersection of education, nutrition, and sustainability. We design and implement experiential learning programs that reconnect children and young people with food systems, sustainable agriculture, and responsible living.


Our work is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, with a strong focus on food security, quality education, climate action, livelihoods, and biodiversity. Through initiatives such as OMG Labs, we integrate microgreens and hydroponics into school education, enabling students to grow fresh food, understand nutrition, and develop a practical connection with sustainability.


Beyond school programs, OMG collaborates with national and international institutions, youth networks, and government partners to advance youth led solutions for sustainable food systems and climate resilience. Our work spans grassroots implementation, policy aligned research, and global advocacy.



Role Description


OMG Organic Microgreens Pvt. Ltd. is inviting applications for the role of Content and Outreach Intern, Education, Nutrition and Sustainability.


This is a contract based hybrid role, based in Hyderabad, with flexibility for partial remote work. The intern will support content development, research, and outreach efforts across OMG’s education and sustainability initiatives.


The role involves researching and creating high quality content related to sustainable agriculture, nutrition, education, and the SDGs, supporting communication and outreach strategies, and collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners. The intern will contribute to translating complex ideas into clear, accessible narratives for schools, youth, institutions, and global partners.


This role is designed for individuals who want meaningful exposure to real world sustainability and education projects and are interested in contributing to initiatives that operate across local, national, and international contexts.



Key Responsibilities


Research and develop content related to education, nutrition, sustainable food systems, and the SDGs

Create and structure written content for websites, reports, presentations, and outreach materials

Support content planning and strategy for education and communication initiatives

Assist in managing and updating digital content platforms

Contribute to outreach and engagement with schools, youth networks, and partner organizations

Collaborate with program and leadership teams to ensure alignment between content, on ground work, and partnerships



Qualifications and Profile


Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to express ideas clearly and thoughtfully

Ability to research, synthesize, and write content for diverse audiences

Interest in education, sustainability, food systems, or community development

Comfortable working independently and taking ownership in a hybrid work environment

Prior exposure to sustainability, education, development, or social impact work is an advantage but not mandatory



Learning and Exposure


Interns at OMG gain hands on exposure to education and sustainability initiatives that extend beyond traditional internship roles. Depending on project needs, the role may involve contributing to work connected with global and national collaborations, including initiatives associated with the Commonwealth youth ecosystem, United Nations frameworks such as the UNCCD, partnerships with UN agencies, state government education programs including in Sikkim, and sustainability initiatives supported through partners in Australia, Fiji, and Kiribati.


The role offers a unique opportunity to understand how grassroots education programs intersect with global policy frameworks, youth leadership networks, and institutional partnerships, while building practical skills in content creation, outreach, and strategic communication.
