Overview:

The Data & Compliance Officer supports ofi’s sustainability and certification agenda by ensuring high-quality data management, certification compliance, and full traceability across the coffee supply chain. The role is accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and audit-readiness of field and system data, and contributes to sustainability reporting, including Carbon Footprint assessments, Human Rights and Environment Due diligence, impact program monitoring and evaluation


Key Responsibilities

1) Data Management & Integrity

  • Collect, validate, and reconcile field data from farmer groups and sourcing regions.
  • Perform routine data verification and quality checks.
  • Maintain structured datasets to support reporting and audits.

2) Certification Compliance & Traceability

  • Monitor and consolidate certified coffee volumes.
  • Maintain traceability records compliant with Mass Balance requirements.
  • Support preparation for certification audits (RA, 4C, AtSource).

3) Sustainability Reporting Support

  • Support Carbon Footprint and sustainability data collection and cleaning.
  • Contribute to reports, dashboards, and internal presentations.

4) Communication & Field Support

  • Develop basic visual materials to support farmer engagement.
  • Support Human Rights, Child Protection, Gender Equality, and OHS initiatives.
  • Support logistics for field visits, trainings and daily-operation of sustainability department.

5) Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sustainability, Supply Chain, QA, and Operations teams.


Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Passion about sustainability/development field with relevant degree/experience (preferred)
  • 1–3 years (Junior) or 3–5 years (Mid-Senior) relevant experience.
  • Strong Excel skills; experience with data systems is an advantage.
  • Working proficiency in English.
  • Attention to detail, analytical thinking, teamwork, and proactive mindset.
