Process Development Engineer (Sustainability)

Job Description: JOB SUMMARY The Process Development Engineer is to provide engineering support and leadership to execute Sustainability initiatives internal to NY CREATES and in conjunction with partners within the Albany Nanotech Complex. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: Understand engineering details of semiconductor processes to clearly define functionality of each process variable and its impact on overall sustainability Work cross-functionally with NY CREATES and Industrial Partners to identify the necessary instrumentation and infrastructure to effectively conduct sustainability studies Drive data collection and analysis to develop the framework for sustainability Provide necessary engineering support to NY CREATES industry collaborators to deliver results on sustainability programs as assigned. Work with tenants and vendors to implement idle mode: provide support, conduct data collection, support troubleshooting when necessary Research and propose the evaluation of new technologies and process improvements to positively impact the sustainability of semiconductor industry and the site. Collaborate with Facility Engineering and Operation Groups to understand key facility systems (UPW, WWT, etc), identify improvement opportunities and support the execution. Stay connected with industry partners, academia to assist identifying further collaborations opportunities for Sustainability Initiatives. Other reasonable duties as assigned. Requirements: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in a related field of science or engineering, from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization. 3 to 5 years of professional level engineering experience in manufacturing and/or the high-tech industry. Proven superior organizational and project management skills. Excellent written and verbal skills and ease in giving presentations. Self-starter and driven to understand and make an impact. Proficiency in software such as Microsoft Office Suite required. This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check; this position may require annual background checks. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering. 2 to 3 years of experience in sustainability related projects Don't meet every requirement?
