  • Remuneration: $116,981 - $129,492; plus, Superannuation and Leave Loading

Your day as an Associate

As an Associate, you’ll work across the team to support strategic reforms in the areas of financial, environmental and social sustainability, and governance. You will support the delivery of key projects and initiatives whilst operating in an agile cross-disciplinary team to provide analytical, research and operational support. Your typical day-to-day work will include:


  • supporting the delivery and management of key initiatives and projects such as the Sustainability Bond Programme Annual Report, ALCO dashboard and secretariat duties, and select social impact investment initiatives
  • undertaking quantitative and qualitative research, performing robust financial/economic analysis and evaluations to formulate well-founded conclusions and recommendations for senior decision-makers
  • proactively building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in Treasury, the NSW public sector and experts outside the sector, to influence outcomes through effective communication and collaboration.

What you can bring to the role

In this integral role there are a few things we would like for you to have to best support yourself and add value to the people of NSW.

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

  • Practical experience in public policy, finance/economics, and/or Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate policy, financial and economic analysis clearly and effectively (verbally and in writing)
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks effectively and ask for support when needed
  • Project management skills demonstrating the ability to deliver agreed outcomes on time, on budget, and to quality standards
  • Ability to adapt to and thrive in a continuously changing business and policy environment
  • Experience using data analysis tools such as Excel, PowerBI, and PowerQuery is welcomed
  • Tertiary qualifications in public policy, economics, finance, law or other relevant areas are highly regarded

Eligibility
