EnergyCo NSW is spearheading the transition to renewable energy to deliver clean electricity to the people of NSW as coal-fired power stations near closure.

About the Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of impactful energy policy and major projects within the Energy Corporation of NSW. In this role, you will undertake and coordinate complex policy and project activities, providing high-quality strategic advice to support government decision-making. You will play a key role in shaping policy development, supporting legislative reform and coordinating cross-agency initiatives that influence the future of energy in NSW.

Working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, you will prepare briefings, reports and presentations for senior executives and the Minister, while also supporting project delivery through research, analysis and stakeholder engagement. The role offers a unique blend of policy, project management and operational support responsibilities, with the opportunity to contribute to high-profile programs and drive continuous improvement across the organisation.

About You
You are an organised and adaptable professional with demonstrated experience in project and/or policy management within a government or similarly complex environment. You bring strong administrative capability, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines. Comfortable working across multiple systems (experience with MyWorkZone is advantageous), you are proactive in learning new tools and processes. Your analytical mindset, attention to detail and ability to engage effectively with stakeholders enable you to deliver high-quality outcomes and contribute to the development of practical, evidence-based policy solutions.

Essential Requirements

• Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated experience in providing project management and operational support

Who we are?
The Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo) is a statutory corporation established under the Energy and Utilities Administration Act 1987 and governed by its Board, appointed by the Minister for Energy. EnergyCo is a Staff Agency employing all EnergyCo staff and is an agency related to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).

EnergyCo plays a pivotal role in the NSW Government’s Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap, which aims to transform the state’s electricity system into one that is cheap, clean, and reliable. As Infrastructure Planner under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020, EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of the State’s first five Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and the first two priority transmission infrastructure projects (PTIPs), which are located in the Central-West Orana, New England, South West, Hunter-Central Coast, and Illawarra regions. We work closely with communities, investors, and industry to investigate, plan, recommend and coordinate generation, storage and network infrastructure projects.
