We are seeking a seasoned Electric Project Engineer to lead and support high-voltage substation projects up to 765kV. This comprehensive role manages the full project lifecycle, requiring expertise in both physical and protection & controls design (schematics, layouts, relay panel wiring). Responsibilities include developing technical drawings, performing stringent QA/QC reviews, preparing detailed budgets and specifications, mentoring junior engineers, and supporting business growth through client engagement and proposal presentations.

Schedule: Standard
Compensation: $120-$210k (depending on experience and location)

Electrical Project Engineer (Substation) Requirements/Competencies:
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in HV (69 kV and higher) substation design (physical and/or P&C) for a power utility in the USA.
- Project lead or technical specialist background.
- Strong QA/QC and client coordination experience.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or relevant.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
Electrical Project Engineer (Substation) Engineer Responsibilities:
- Lead and support substation projects up to 765kV, including both physical and protection & controls design.
- Develop drawings, schematics, layouts, relay panel wiring, grounding, and auxiliary power systems.
- Perform QA/QC reviews of design packages, mentor junior engineers, and oversee project deliverables.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, and project teams to ensure technical excellence.
- Prepare budgets, schedules, and specifications for procurement and construction.
- Support business development opportunities and present proposals/designs to clients.
