Norton Rose Fulbright is seeking a tax lawyer with a strong interest in renewable energy and other aspects of the energy transition to work with its project finance group. This role involves supporting senior associates and partners who work with project developers, lenders and investors on solar, wind, geothermal, battery storage, carbon capture, renewable natural gas, green hydrogen, electric transmission and similar projects. You will gain exposure to cutting-edge developments in federal tax law and work closely with leading practitioners in the field. Support senior associates and partners on project finance tax matters for renewable energy projects (solar, wind, geothermal, battery storage, carbon capture, renewable natural gas, green hydrogen, electric transmission, etc.). 2-5 years’ experience as a tax lawyer. ~ Familiarity with renewable energy incentives, such as the various tax credits in the Inflation Reduction Act, and partnership taxation is preferred. ~ Strong academic credentials. ~ Prior work experience within a large law firm is preferred. Work on complex financing and tax transactions alongside experienced attorneys. Gain exposure to global legal practices and deepen understanding of corporate and project-focused matters. The full-time base salary per year for this position will range between $235,000 - $365,000. Bonus opportunities are non-guaranteed and are dependent upon individual and firm performance.
