Planning & Environmental Solicitor (Energy & Infrastructure team)
€105k + DOE
The Role
This is an opportunity to take on a senior role within a growing practice, working closely with Partners and having a high level of responsibility for client matters. You will advise a diverse client base across a broad range of sectors and will be involved in some of the most significant infrastructure, development and energy projects in the Irish market.
The successful candidate will advise on planning and environmental consenting strategies, including reviewing planning applications, EIARs and NISs, with particular exposure to major development and renewable energy projects.
You will lead on planning and environmental litigation, including Judicial Review and injunction proceedings before the High Court, as well as advising clients on enforcement actions and wider statutory procedures.
There will be significant transactional exposure, including leading planning and environmental due diligence on M&A and financing transactions and providing input into the relevant transactional documentation.
As a Senior Associate, you will have the opportunity to develop your market profile through involvement with relevant industry groups and events, while also supporting the development of more junior members of the team.

The Person
- 4+ years' PQE specialising in Planning & Environmental Law;
- Strong experience advising on planning applications,
- Experience with planning and environmental licensing processes and statutory procedures;
- Strong Judicial Review and High Court litigation experience;
- Experience defending planning and environmental enforcement actions;
- Experience advising on planning and environmental aspects of M&A and financing transactions;
- Excellent drafting and legal research skills;
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of client requirements;
- Excellent communicator;
