The Steel Sourcing Director will be based in Hyderabad office. In this position, you will report to the Steel Sourcing Director - ROW. Nextpower is seeking a steel sourcing director to lead its steel sourcing team in India, define and drive the steel sourcing strategy and drive the cost of ownership for steel commodity.
The Sourcing department is responsible for driving the Total Cost of Ownership through deploying category/region/supplier-specific strategies and establishing strategic relationship with core suppliers.
The Sourcing director will be responsible for managing a global team in charge of a portfolio of suppliers, coordinating the steel sourcing strategy with other commodity manager.

- Develop a sourcing strategy to optimize the cost/quality of the products, meet the demand and all necessary requirements
- Work with Sales/Planning to review demand trends
- Coordinate sourcing efforts within his regions to:
- allocate demand optimizing cost, quality, delivery schedule etc…
- assess and report suppliers performance
- Negotiate, close and manage long term Master Supply Agreements in line with the sourcing strategy
- Establish and maintain executive level relationship with key steel stakeholders and suppliers in the relevant markets
- Evaluate new focus markets and resource required to develop new suppliers
- Advanced Negotiation skills
- Strong knowledge of commercial contracts
- Experience with international steel trade
- Experience managing a multi-cultural team
- Solid structuring and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to report and present a strategy at executive level
- Fluent oral and written communications at least in English
- Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills as a significant part of the team and suppliers are remote
- Results orientated and demonstrated ability to think out of the box to drive results
- Ability to handle ambiguity and respond quickly and flexibly
- Autonomous
- Availability to travel on a regular basis – 30% expected
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical and/or business major.
- Minimum of 10-year experience in a similar position
- Experience working in a multicultural environment
