In this position, you will report to the Senior Manager – Electrical & Performance Engineering. You will contribute towards the development of Nextpower`s product portfolio.


Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:


· Lead product-level system design and architecture development for PV and PV + BESS solutions, including single-line diagrams, system configuration, and layout optimization to ensure scalable, code-compliant, and high-performance designs.

· Perform detailed BESS technology analysis, including storage sizing, hybrid integration strategies, power electronics evaluation, and operational modelling to support optimized PV + storage solutions.

· Execute comprehensive PV system design encompassing system architecture, single-line diagrams, and layout optimization, while performing power flow analysis, voltage drop calculations, conductor sizing, protection coordination, and technical specification/evaluation of modules, inverters, transformers, switchgear, and BOS equipment.

· Acquire, clean, and analyze plant operational data to evaluate system and product performance, enabling performance validation, issue identification, model calibration, and continuous improvement of PV and PV + BESS solutions

· Assess emerging technologies and conduct comprehensive technical due diligence to evaluate feasibility, performance impact, reliability, compliance, and integration suitability for PV and PV + BESS products.


Here is some of what you’ll need (required):


· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or power systems

· 4+ years of experience in utility-scale PV system design (utility projects preferred).

· Hands on experience with design tools – PVsyst, AutoCAD, ETAP, or other power system modeling tools.

· Strong understanding of NEC, UL, and IEEE standards.

· Familiarity with SCADA systems, energy storage integration, and hybrid PV solutions

· Proficiency in data handling including SQL, Python and Power BI

· Understanding of power electronics, grid interconnection, and utility requirements
