Lead Project Manager Development NextEra Energy Resources is one of America's largest wholesale electricity generators, harnessing diverse energy sources to power progress. In this role, you would directly impact our goal of aggressively growing renewable asset production. In this position, you will lead development projects from beginning to end, overseeing cross-functional teams across the NextEra Energy Resources organization. You will be working with leadership within Development to drive origination and business development efforts that will directly impact NextEra Energy's bottom line. This role will focus on developing renewable projects located in the Central Region. Beyond the requirements below, you will also be responsible for presenting your projects and updates to Development leadership and providing your input and expertise daily to subject matter experts as a collaborative and dynamic team project leader. You will travel across our sites to gain expertise in the regional energy market, the project, and the local community. This role is based in Juno Beach, FL, with remote flexibility available for candidates located in Nebraska or Kansas. Travel of approximately 30% within the region is required. Experience developing renewable asset business opportunities Experience leading projects that require land acquisition, permitting, zoning, environmental studies, and interconnection evaluations Experience with project valuations, commercial agreements, and tax abatements Experience with implementing project management principles and process design Experience & proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Word Comfortability in community engagement Candidates with prior energy experience, an MBA, or a relevant graduate degree are highly preferred. Manages all aspects of the day to day transaction process to ensure timely completion as well as a cost effective and competitive result Leads and coordinates key functions such as financial feasibility analyses, engineering/design, project legal review, permitting activities and financial negotiations Coordinates due diligence activities with other internal groups to ensure proper analysis and structuring of assigned projects Constructs contractual arrangements for project development Negotiates agreements with consultants and subcontractors Ensures compliance with applicable technical and regulatory requirements Fosters external relationships with customers, third parties and members of the community Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
