About Nexar Dynamics


Nexar Dynamics is building an AI-powered intelligent recycling platform designed for offices, hotels, universities, airports, and large commercial facilities.


Our flagship product, the XI Core Device, combines Computer Vision, Robotics, Material Processing, and Sustainability Reporting into a single intelligent platform capable of transforming how organizations manage recyclable waste.


We are currently moving from concept validation to MVP development and are looking for a founding software engineer who will build the digital platform powering every Nexar device.

This is an early-stage founding position with equity compensation.


Your Mission


As our Founding Software Platform Lead, your mission is to design and build the digital backbone of Nexar.


You will work directly with the founders while collaborating closely with our Computer Vision Engineer, Frontend Engineer, Prototype Development Lead, and Hardware & Manufacturing Engineer to develop the cloud infrastructure, backend services, APIs, and device connectivity that enable our intelligent recycling platform.


This role is focused on building the software platform behind our first MVP—not maintaining existing enterprise systems.


Responsibilities


  • Design and build Nexar's cloud infrastructure.
  • Develop backend services and APIs supporting the XI Core Device.
  • Build secure communication between edge devices and cloud services.
  • Design telemetry and remote device monitoring capabilities.
  • Develop remote device management and update infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with the Computer Vision team on AI deployment workflows.
  • Support AI model deployment and edge inference integration.
  • Build internal services supporting dashboards, reporting, and analytics.
  • Design scalable software architecture for future product growth.
  • Contribute to technical decisions across the software platform.


Preferred Experience

  • IoT Systems
  • Distributed Systems
  • AI Infrastructure


Technical Background


Experience in one or more of the following is considered a strong advantage:


  • Python
  • FastAPI or similar backend frameworks
  • Docker
  • Linux
  • REST APIs
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • CI/CD
  • IoT or Edge Computing

We are looking for an engineer who enjoys designing systems, solving complex technical challenges, and building software that powers intelligent hardware.


You should be comfortable working across multiple engineering disciplines, making architectural decisions, and creating scalable infrastructure that supports real-world products.

A strong entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working in an early-stage startup environment are essential.

Nice to Have

Compensation


This is currently an equity-based founding position.


As one of the earliest members of Nexar Dynamics, you will receive meaningful equity participation and play a central role in building the company's software platform.


Future cash compensation will be introduced as the company progresses through funding and commercial milestones.
