About Nexar Dynamics
Nexar Dynamics is building an AI-powered intelligent recycling platform designed for offices, hotels, universities, airports, and large commercial facilities.
Our flagship product, the XI Core Device, combines Computer Vision, Robotics, Material Processing, and Sustainability Reporting into a single intelligent platform capable of transforming how organizations manage recyclable waste.
We are currently moving from concept validation to MVP development and are looking for a hands-on technical leader who will take ownership of building our very first working prototype.
This is an early-stage founding position with equity compensation.
Your Mission
As our Founding Prototype Development Lead, your mission is to transform the XI Core Device from an engineering concept into a fully functional MVP.
You will work directly with the founders while collaborating closely with our Industrial Designer, Computer Vision Engineer, Hardware & Manufacturing Engineer, and Software Platform Lead to turn ambitious ideas into a working product ready for investor demonstrations and pilot deployments.
This role is focused on building, validating, and continuously improving Nexar's first prototype.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical development of the XI Core Device prototype.
- Define the overall prototype architecture together with the founders.
- Design, assemble, and validate prototype subsystems.
- Select and evaluate robotics, automation, and motion control solutions.
- Coordinate prototype integration across mechanical, electronic, and software systems.
- Support the creation and continuous improvement of the prototype Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Collaborate closely with the Hardware & Manufacturing Engineer on component selection and sourcing.
- Work with the Computer Vision Engineer to integrate AI-driven object detection into the robotic workflow.
- Troubleshoot engineering challenges throughout prototype development.
- Support investor demonstrations and pilot preparation activities.
- Maintain technical documentation throughout the development process.
Preferred Experience
We are interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Robotics Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Industrial Automation
- Prototype Development
- Product Development
Technical Background
Experience in one or more of the following is considered a strong advantage:
- Robotics or automation systems
- Motion control
- Mechanical design
- CAD software (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Onshape or similar)
- Embedded hardware integration
- Rapid prototyping

We are looking for a builder.
Someone who enjoys solving practical engineering challenges, creating prototypes from scratch, making technical decisions, and continuously improving products through experimentation and iteration.
You should be comfortable working in an early-stage startup where ownership, curiosity, and adaptability are essential.
A strong entrepreneurial mindset and passion for building innovative hardware products are highly valued.

Compensation
This is currently an equity-based founding position.
As one of the earliest members of Nexar Dynamics, you will receive meaningful equity participation and play a key role in building both our first product and our engineering culture.
Future cash compensation will be introduced as the company progresses through funding and commercial milestones.
