Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to lead the design, operation, and continuous improvement of electrolyzer and hydrogen generation test systems. This role involves developing safe, efficient, and scalable process solutions, supporting long-duration testing, and driving innovation in hydrogen technologies. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in industrial gas systems, process design, and plant operations, along with a proactive, hands-on approach to engineering challenges.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to define process requirements and develop system designs
  • Design and size process equipment including pumps, separators, columns, heat exchangers, and associated systems
  • Select and specify instrumentation, control systems, and valves aligned with process and safety requirements
  • Prepare detailed engineering documents such as datasheets, PFDs, P&IDs, layouts, and 3D models
  • Work closely with procurement teams and OEMs for equipment specification, evaluation, and vendor coordination
  • Support product development teams in prototyping, testing, and iterative technology improvements
  • Design, build, and modify test skids based on evolving prototype requirements
  • Ensure adherence to relevant codes, standards, safety and statutory regulations
  • Contribute to project planning, cost estimation, and execution strategies
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and drive continuous improvement in plant performance
  • Operate and manage high-pressure (~30 barg) and high-temperature (up to 90 °C) systems during trial runs, while delivering hands-on training and technical guidance to the operations team.

Must Have

  • 5–8 years of experience in process engineering, preferably in continuous process plants
  • Proven experience in process scale-up from lab/pilot to industrial systems
  • Strong knowledge of process equipment design, including columns and separators
  • Expertise in piping design and plant layout review (2D/3D models)
  • Hands-on experience with instrumentation and valve selection
  • Proficiency in process safety methodologies such as HAZOP and risk assessments
  • Working knowledge of applicable engineering codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience in project cost estimation and cross-functional team collaboration
  • Conduct process safety reviews including HAZOP, risk assessments, and compliance checks

Should Have

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in chemical engineering or a related field
  • Familiarity with industrial operations, maintenance practices, and safety systems
  • Experience handling hazardous gases/liquids and designing safe process systems
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Nice To Have

  • Experience in operating and designing electrolyzer’s systems
  • Knowledge of EPC process plant
  • Team handling Experience
