Senior Associate - Founder's Office
Senior Associate, Founder's Office (BD & Partnerships, VoltaGen)About Newtrace
Newtrace makes green hydrogen cheaper by fixing its most expensive component: the electrode.
Our VoltaGen electrode uses no platinum-group metals or rare earths, yet reaches one of the lowest specific energy consumptions in stacks for green hydrogen production. We supply it as a drop-in component to electrolyzer makers.
You will own the path from VoltaGen's proven performance to signed partnerships with electrolyzer makers, EPCs and project developers.
This is a Senior Associate role in the Founders' Office, reporting directly to the CEO and based in Bengaluru, in office. You are not supporting a sales team; you are building the partnership engine for our hero product. Each OEM or EPC that adopts VoltaGen puts our electrode into every stack they ship, so one well-run partnership carries across many projects.
You will work daily with the founders, R&D, supply chain and finance leads. You turn deep electrochemistry into a business case a partner's leadership can say yes to.
What You Will Deliver
Success in this role is measured by outputs you own end to end, not tasks you assist with.
You take ownership of an outcome and keep going until it is done, without waiting to be told what comes next.
Why Join, And How To Apply
You will help take a frontier climate technology from lab results to commercial partnerships, with the CEO as your direct manager.

What You Will Deliver
Success in this role is measured by outputs you own end to end, not tasks you assist with.
- Target accounts: keep a ranked list of electrolyzer OEMs, EPCs, project developers and industrial buyers, with the right contacts and an entry route for each.
- Partnership pipeline: track every account from first conversation to signed agreement, each with a clear next step, and review it weekly with the CEO.
- Business cases: show each priority partner what VoltaGen does for their stack efficiency and cost of hydrogen.
- Technical validation: agree scope and success criteria with R&D, keep each program on schedule, and report the results.
- Commercial proposals: prepare pricing and supply terms with the finance and supply chain leads.
- Partner-ready story: maintain the VoltaGen deck, data pack and one-pager so they hold up under technical scrutiny.
- Events: plan meetings ahead of each expo, represent Newtrace there, and follow up every lead afterwards.
- Monthly update: report pipeline, wins, losses and risks to the CEO.
- Doors-opening programs: apply to accelerators, pilot programs and grants that give access to partners and funding.
- Days 1–30: map the accounts, learn VoltaGen's data end to end, and refresh the core collateral.
- Days 31–60: stand up the pipeline and open conversations with the top-priority accounts.
- Days 61–90: put a validation program or commercial proposal in front of at least one priority partner.
You take ownership of an outcome and keep going until it is done, without waiting to be told what comes next.
- High agency. You have started or driven something nobody asked you to, and can show the result.
- Extreme ownership. When a deliverable slips, you find out why, fix it and tell the CEO before they ask.
- At ease with ambiguity. You build the plan when there isn't one, and make decisions with partial information.
- Fast with technical ideas. You can pick up electrochemistry, stack efficiency and hardware manufacturing quickly, and explain what they mean for a partner's costs.
- Strong with numbers and stories. You build financial and market models in Excel and turn them into clear PowerPoint or Keynote decks.
- Commercially sharp. You have experience in business development, management consulting, venture capital, investment banking or an early-stage deep-tech or hardware startup.
- Ready for the room. You are comfortable representing Newtrace to senior people at industry events, and travelling for them.
