Solar Operations & Maintenance Technician (Level 2)
Job Description: - Perform advanced inspections, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting on solar energy systems
- Provide guidance to junior technicians to ensure safe and efficient operation of solar power plants
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of solar energy systems, including electrical and mechanical components
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules
- Independently diagnose and troubleshoot system issues
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of inspections, maintenance, and repairs
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies
- Contribute to the improvement of quality and content of training
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in the solar industry or related field
- Demonstrated understanding of electrical systems, solar energy principles, and grid-tied systems
- Knowledge of Data Acquisition Systems preferred
- OSHA 30-hour and NFPA 70e certification preferred
- FAA Part 107 Certification
- Familiar operating Drones for Aerial Thermographic purposes
- Familiar with the use of diagnostic tools such as I/V Curve Tracers, Meggers, and Isolation testers
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
