Job Description:
  • Perform advanced inspections, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting on solar energy systems
  • Provide guidance to junior technicians to ensure safe and efficient operation of solar power plants
  • Conduct comprehensive inspections of solar energy systems, including electrical and mechanical components
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules
  • Independently diagnose and troubleshoot system issues
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of inspections, maintenance, and repairs
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies
  • Contribute to the improvement of quality and content of training

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of experience in the solar industry or related field
  • Demonstrated understanding of electrical systems, solar energy principles, and grid-tied systems
  • Knowledge of Data Acquisition Systems preferred
  • OSHA 30-hour and NFPA 70e certification preferred
  • FAA Part 107 Certification
  • Familiar operating Drones for Aerial Thermographic purposes
  • Familiar with the use of diagnostic tools such as I/V Curve Tracers, Meggers, and Isolation testers
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
