As a Working Student – Environment & Producer Services, you will support the implementation and further development of NKG's systems and tools for collecting and processing primary carbon data and producer level insights and support converting these insights into action across our global coffee supply chains.

Your Tasks

  • Supporting the implementation, further development and automation of NKG's tools for the collection and assessment of carbon data from coffee origins.
  • Supporting data collection, validation and quality assurance to ensure reliable and consistent measurement of carbon action in NKG’s supply chains.
  • Working directly with NKG group companies to troubleshoot issues and enable smooth carbon data collection and assessment processes.
  • Assisting in the preparation of Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) assessments and reports.
  • Supporting the identification of key emission drivers and the development of practical recommendations for greenhouse gas mitigation across coffee supply chains.
  • Gather insights from and identify gaps in existing data to improve farmer services, e.g., regarding living income or biodiversity.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of internal methodologies, reporting processes and digital tools.


Your Profile

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agricultural Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, Climate Studies, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in climate change, life cycle assessments, sustainable agriculture and global green coffee supply chains.
  • Curious about coffee production and motivated to understand the complexity of international supply chains.
  • Enjoy working with data, while also interacting with colleagues around the world to solve practical challenges, and being able to translate data into practical recommendations.
  • Structured, analytical and proactive, with a willingness to learn and continuously improve processes.
  • Good communication skills and fluent English (written and spoken).
