We are looking for you, Process Engineer (PTU) to our Technical Team in Neste Tuas Singapore.
In this job you will work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Supply Chain and Engineering functions to strive for Operation Excellence in all plant performance aspects through improvement initiatives and projects. You will report to the Process Engineering Lead in the Singapore refinery.

More about the job Your role in our team
- As an experienced Process Engineer, you lead cross functional teams to drive continuous improvement of the processing capability and availability of Pretreatment (PTU) and Heat Treatment (HTU) units
- Responsible for the Basis of Design (BOD) and Unit Specific Tolerances (UST) and defining the Operating Limits for PTU and HTU
- Responsible to build up the competency of PTU and HTU processing technologies in the organization
- Conduct test runs, resolve bottlenecks, develop solutions and manage capital investments in the early phases of the project lifecycle
- Support operations in troubleshooting major process challenges and investigating high risk non-conformances
- Improve process safety by participating in risk assessments, managing actions development and implementation
- As Singapore refinery representative in the global technology team – sharing and execution of best practices and common initiatives with Rotterdam and Porvoo refineries
- Technical support for unit events including e.g., shutdown, new feedstock introduction, investments and start-up
- B Sc. or higher degree in Chemical Engineering or relevant field, and understanding of Renewable products chemical processing unit operations and engineering
- At least 4 years of work experience in process engineering and operations in the oil and gas, refining or petrochemical industry from pretreatment processes
- Experience on plant operations, test runs, unit startups and shutdowns and operations troubleshooting is desired
- Experience in bleaching, acid-activated slurry adsorption, solid adsorptive purification processes, or pressure leaf filtration units is considered an advantage
- Good understanding of end-to-end feedstock value optimization in HVO processes
- Understanding and experience utilizing process models and simulations to support in plant optimization and troubleshooting
- Strong interpersonal and planning skills
- Good ability to influence in global matrix organization with cultural awareness, performance-driven and active networking attitude
- High safety standards and strong influencing skills
