We are looking for you, Indirect Tax Lead/Head of Indirect Tax to our Group Tax and Customs team in Espoo.
The Indirect Tax team operates across four jurisdictions: Finland, Netherlands, Singapore, and the United States. You will be responsible for maintaining and advancing our indirect tax capabilities and knowledge, specifically in the areas of Excise Duty and VAT/GST. In this job you will work closely with tax and customs experts, business partners and finance and IT colleagues as well as several process owners.

Your role in our team
- Team Lead & Support: Support your team to further develop the effectiveness of Tax and Customs Management as well as staying up to date with indirect tax related developments in legislation, case law and local practice.
- Indirect Tax Governance: Develop, implement, and maintain standards, processes, controls, tools, including AI and digital platforms, and governance for the indirect tax management area.
- Expertise and Risk Management: Serve as the subject matter expert, interpreting local regulatory requirements, assessing, tracking, and managing compliance risks, and keeping up-to-date with legislative changes.
- Audits and Assurance: Manage the tax audit and litigation processes (governmental and internal).
- Stakeholder Relations: Maintain and develop effective relationships with relevant authorities and internal departments (Finance, Operations, Sales, Legal) and manage the international network of indirect tax specialists.
- Master’s degree or similar, preferably in Excise Tax and/or VAT/GST.
- Solid experience of international business in the field of Excise tax, VAT or GST, with experience from a Tax authority, Big-4 firm, or industry highly valued.
- Proven experience in leading an international team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated delegation, leadership, and project management skills.
- Fluency in Finnish and English.
- Good understanding of main business processes and strategic issues.
- Experience dealing with Tax Authorities.
- Earlier experience with the SAP system is an advantage.
