Company Description NeoCarbon is a Berlin-based ClimateTech company that helps industries achieve negative emissions by capturing CO₂ at low cost and at scale. The company leverages waste heat and existing infrastructure to make carbon capture more efficient and accessible. Role Description This is a full time, limited contract (with the possibilty to stay on longer), on-site Mechanical Engineering Intern role based in Berlin. The intern will support the design, development, and optimization of mechanical components and systems for NeoCarbon’s carbon capture technologies. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with CAD modeling and drawings, contributing to prototyping and testing, and helping analyze performance data to improve designs. The role involves collaborating with engineers on experimental setups, preparing documentation and reports, and supporting project planning and coordination. The intern will work closely with cross-functional team members, participate in technical discussions, and help ensure that designs are feasible, safe, and aligned with project requirements.


Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, ideally as a current student or recent graduate in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools and basic understanding of mechanical design principles.
  • Solid Analytical Skills for interpreting experimental data, evaluating design options, and solving technical problems.
  • Effective Communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and document technical work clearly.
  • Basic Project Management capabilities, including task prioritization, time management, and working to deadlines.
  • Interest in ClimateTech, decarbonization, and sustainability; motivation to work on practical climate impact solutions.

Requirements:

  • Availability for 3-6 month.
  • Interest in performing an internship or writing a final thesis, 4 days work / 1 day study. Further flexibility possible.
