Neighbors for Net Zero (NFNZ) is a marketing initiative developed by Tetra. Tetra is a VC-backed clean tech start-up focused on energy-efficient home services, including energy audits, insulation, HVAC systems (mostly heat pumps), and solar. NFNZ operates like a community action group within Tetra; we're a small, diverse team with a shared passion for sustainability. We're building a culture that thrives on creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Our work focuses on helping homeowners understand the financial, comfort, and environmental benefits of energy-efficient home improvements. We believe that making climate-friendly choices should also make practical sense. That's why we lean on programs like Mass Save, which can cover 75–100% of insulation costs and provide up to $16,000 in heat pump rebates. Every conversation has the potential to help a homeowner save energy, reduce utility costs, and take advantage of programs that make home upgrades more affordable.
This is a field-based outreach role. Team members spend approximately 80% of their time engaging homeowners through door-to-door canvassing and 20% supporting community events to educate residents about energy-efficiency programs and connect interested homeowners with free consultations. This role is a good fit for those interested in sustainability, climate action, entrepreneurship, education, marketing, communications, or community engagement. Our next cohorts start July 6th and August 3rd!
