Job Description

Overview and Objectives of the Position:

The ESG & sustainability Analyst is responsible for supporting the formulation, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of Navitas’s sustainability and ESG strategy. The role ensures relevant ESG metrics and reporting requirements are met, embedding sustainability considerations across operations, and assisting in driving continuous improvement in environmental, social, and governance performance.

This is an entry‑level role suitable for early‑career professionals or recent graduates looking to develop foundational skills in ESG and sustainability.

The targeted start date for this position is 7 April 2026.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Data collection, analysis & reporting
    1. Ensure ESG data framework is kept up to date and maintained by collecting, validating and maintaining ESG & sustainability data for metrics aligned to our material ESG topics (e.g. climate action, modern slavery, DEI, etc.).
    2. Build and maintain GHG inventories and perform carbon accounting (Scope 1, 2, and 3).
    3. Assist in preparing internal and external ESG reports (e.g. annual Sustainability report, Impact report, Emissions report, Modern Slavery statements, Impact survey reports, and other regulatory and stakeholder disclosures).
    4. Analyse trends, benchmarks, and provide actionable insights and dashboards to senior management.
  • ESG strategy support & execution
    1. Support development and implementation of ESG / sustainability strategies, goals, and roadmaps.
    2. Identify and assess ESG risks and opportunities across business units.
    3. Recommend initiatives, programs, or projects to enhance environmental or social performance.
    4. Monitor progress of ESG initiatives, track KPIs, and support corrective actions.
  • Standards, frameworks & compliance
    1. Stay current on relevant standards, regulations, and frameworks (e.g. Modern Slavery Act, GHG Protocol, TCFD, GRI, SASB, ISCA, local / national environment legislation).
    2. Assist in gap analyses against ESG / sustainability frameworks and recommend improvements.
    3. Support internal audits, compliance checks, and third-party audits as needed.
  • Stakeholder collaboration & embedding
    1. Work with cross-functional groups (property, procurement, legal, finance, IT, HR, etc.) to integrate ESG into decision-making and operations.
    2. Provide support to project teams to embed sustainability requirements in project planning, contract clauses, or procurement.
    3. Liaise with external stakeholders (suppliers, partners, consultants, agents) on ESG matters.
  • Continuous improvement & innovation
    1. Monitor emerging ESG and sustainability trends, legislation, risk, and best practices.
    2. Propose pilot projects, process improvements, or innovation opportunities (e.g. circular economy, renewable energy, supply chain sustainability).
    3. Contribute to training, capacity building, and awareness programs within the organisation.
  • Other duties
    1. Assist with other tasks or projects as required by management.
    2. Support internal or external communications (e.g. sustainability sections in public reports, website content, stakeholder communications).

Qualifications

Essential

  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Business with focus on ESG, or related field. Qualification in data science with interest/ experience in sustainability related data will also be considered.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience handling quantitative data, ability to draw insights and present in dashboards or reports.
  • Familiarity with ESG / sustainability frameworks, carbon accounting, and regulatory compliance (e.g. ASRS, GHG Protocol, Modern Slavery Acts, GRI, TCFD).
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proactive mindset, continuous learner, trend awareness.
  • Technical skills: MS Excel, data management tools such as PowerBI, possibly experience with ESG/ sustainability software such as PathZero.

Desirable

  • Experience in higher education, or experience in multi-jurisdiction operations, or prior exposure to ESG reporting.
