Who are we looking for?

Natural Forces is seeking a candidate to fill an Engagement Coordinator role to support our Development team members. This is a full-time position based at our head office in downtown Halifax. The Engagement Coordinator will coordinate engagement activities with Rightsholders and stakeholders for our renewable energy projects across Canada.


Key Tasks and Duties

  • Build and maintain strong relationships internally and externally, particularly with community and indigenous groups
  • Support day to day community and Rightsholder engagement across various methods of communication virtually and in-person including, but not limited to, email, phone, Microsoft Teams, and in-person meetings
  • Plan, prepare, execute, and follow up on public engagement activities, rightsholder engagement activities, and partner information sessions
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of consultation and engagement
  • Develop an understanding of how federal, provincial, and regional legislation and policy related to renewable energy projects applies to project consultation and engagement
  • Support delivery of proposals, permits, and other submissions including but not limited to funding proposals, Request for Proposals, and Environmental Assessments
  • Support additional aspects of project development as required
  • Uphold all aspects of Natural Forces Health, Safety & Environmental policies, practices, and programs in every aspect of work 


Education and Experience

  • Anticipated level of experience 2+ years
  • Post-secondary degree with a background in social science, public relations, communications, environmental studies or a related discipline considered an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

  • Passion for helping address the climate crisis emergency by creating and maintaining long-lasting relationships and partnerships
  • Willingness to travel throughout Canada
