Job Description
NREL is looking to hire a Work Control Administrative Support person for Site Operation’s Work Control Center. This position provides daily administrative support activities related to research and site operations. This position works closely with a team and provides administrative maintenance assistance to NREL’s campuses in Colorado. This position is an on-site role based at the South Table Mountain Campus in Golden, Colorado.
This position provides a wide range of administrative duties in support of Site Operation’s Work Control Center including:
  • Support of the laboratory’s Site Operations team by handling incoming and outgoing emails and phone calls. Answering, and properly directing questions as needed.
  • Route requests for service to the appropriate teams.
  • Facilitate contractors coming onto campus to perform work.
  • Coordinate conference room reservation requests and setups for meetings.
  • Assist with coordination of maintenance and services for the campus’ fleet and motor equipment.
  • Assist in coordinating group shuttle reservations for tours around campuses.
  • Process recharges for the Site Operations team.
  • Coordinate janitorial efforts for both campuses.
  • Assist the electrical team in placing fire panel systems off and online.
  • Become a specialist with the maintenance work order dispatch system and act as a point of contact for questions and assistance with the application.
  • Follow all environmental health and safety policies and procedures to ensure and maintain a safe working environment for employees and contractors.

Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent and 1 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience. Or, relevant Associate’s Degree or certification program of comparable scope or equivalent relevant education/experience. Considerable knowledge of the job. Substantial understanding of general aspects of the job with a broad understanding of the detailed aspects of the job. Intermediate skills in applicable software packages and office equipment. Basic project administration skills. Ability to prioritize work. Proficient written and verbal communication skills. Very good team and interpersonal skills.

Annual Salary Range (based on full-time 40 hours per week)
Job Profile: Specialist II / Annual Salary Range: $50,200 - $80,300
