Job Introduction

We’re looking for a Trainee Development Assessor to join our supportive and collaborative Technical Training team in Tipton.

In this role, you’ll review and guide our Craft apprentices—including Fitting, Overhead Lines and Cable Jointing—throughout their apprenticeship journey, helping them grow, succeed and build essential skills for their future careers. Although the job title includes “Trainee”, this is not a trainee role; instead, you’ll be responsible for assessing and supporting our trainees as they progress through their programmes.

This position offers genuine flexibility, giving you full ownership of your diary and the freedom to balance home and office working. You’ll typically be in the Tipton office two days per week, with the rest of your time spent working remotely or out in the field. You’ll oversee a region across the West Midlands and occasionally support apprentice inductions at our Taunton training centre.

You’ll be joining a collaborative, friendly team where knowledge-sharing and professional development are part of our culture. We’ll support your ongoing CPD and provide opportunities for further training to help you continue developing your own skills.
