We’re looking for a Python Software Engineer to join our Network Topology Optimisation team, helping to develop innovative software that supports smarter operation of the electricity network.
You’ll design, develop and enhance existing applications that automate engineering processes, integrate with specialist analysis tools and improve operational efficiency. Working alongside engineers and technical specialists, you’ll develop robust, maintainable code, contribute to new optimisation solutions and help shape the future of our technology.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex problems through software development and is keen to learn, innovate and make a real impact.
This role can be based in Wokingham, and we continue to offer hybrid working from office and home with the requirement to be present in the office 1-2 days/week. We are open to full time and part time applicants, as well as flexible working arrangements.

Experience with power system analysis software would be advantageous but is not essential.

A competitive salary of £55,000-£70,000 dependent on experience and capabilityAs well as your base salary, NESO's core benefits are the essential perks and advantages that form part of your employee package. - You will receive a bonus based on company performance- 26 days annual leave as standard - A competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%. - Annual Enrollment to NESO Savings Plan, when you save between £20- £500 a month from your take-home pay, we will pay a 50% matching contribution.

About You
