National Energy System Operator (NESO) is seeking an experienced People Administrator to join our People team.
The People Operations team is responsible for delivering all core operational People processes and services across the organisation, including joiners, leavers, absence management, immigration, benefits, and reward.
As a People Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate data entry into our HR system, Workday, and for delivering a strong customer experience to NESO colleagues. You will act as the first point of contact for colleague queries, supporting effective and timely resolution.
This role supports hybrid working, with an expectation to be onsite in Warwick 2–3 days per week and once a month in Wokingham.

A competitive salary of £36,343.00 dependent on experience and capabilityAs well as your base salary, NESO's core benefits are the essential perks and advantages that form part of your employee package. - You will receive a bonus based on company performance- 26 days annual leave as standard - A competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%. - Annual Enrollment to NESO Savings Plan, when you save between £20- £500 a month from your take-home pay, we will pay a 50% matching contribution.

- Delivering efficient, effective, and high-quality transactional People activities across the employee lifecycle, including but not limited to, onboarding, offboarding, employee data management, immigration, reward, and benefits administration.
- Ensuring accurate and timely data entry into the HR system, Workday.
- Providing practical advice and guidance to the business on People policies and procedures.
- Providing administrative support to the People Operations team, acting as the first point of contact for people managers and colleagues.
- Managing People queries through Workday case management.
- Overseeing right-to-work checks, ensuring full compliance with legal requirements.
- Supporting cyclical People activities such as performance, talent, promotions, and reward, with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Deliver an excellent customer experience for all colleagues.

- Previous experience in a People Operations or HR Administrator role.
- Experience providing advice and guidance across a broad range of People topics.
- Previous experience using Workday would be advantageous.
- Experience managing cases within a case management system.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work in an agile environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative, team-focused approach.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- A customer-centric mindset with a passion for creating a positive employee experience.
