What The Role Is
The Strategy Group leads and organises the Public Service to develop and implement the Government’s strategic priorities.
The National Climate Change Secretariat (NCCS) is part of the Strategy Group and is responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing Singapore’s domestic and international policies and strategies to tackle climate change.
As a member of NCCS’ Global Partnerships team, you will be exposed to a wide range of strategy, policy formulation and implementation work aimed at advancing Singapore’s climate change agenda. You will participate in multilateral climate policy platforms and engage a wide range of international stakeholders to advance Singapore’s climate policy and decarbonisation agenda.

What You Will Be Working On
- Monitor, assess and anticipate international developments on climate and sustainability policies, technology and markets, and in turn identify opportunities and threats to Singapore’s domestic climate policies.
- Analyse and develop bilateral and plurilateral strategies that Singapore can adopt to advance domestic efforts to meet its present and future international climate obligations.
- Participate in international negotiations and platforms (e.g. UNFCCC) to safeguard and advance Singapore’s climate policy interests, and build networks to advance bilateral and plurilateral strategies
- Curious mind and strong analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to collaborate well with partners including but not limited to officials from international organisations and foreign governments, as well as officers from other public agencies
- Good team player
- Successful candidates should be prepared to undertake overseas travel assignments
- Strong interest in international engagements, climate change-related issues, global and domestic developments is a plus
