Electrical Engineering Intern
About Us
Munters is a global leader in climate solutions for mission-critical processes. We offer innovative, efficient and sustainable solutions for customers in industries where controlling indoor humidity, temperature and energy efficiency is mission critical. Climate control systems often account for a large percentage of energy consumption in many of our customers’ operations. With an optimal climate system, we can help them to more efficiently use energy or water resources and thereby reduce their climate and environmental impact. Sustainability is an important part of Munters’ business strategy and value creation. We pride ourselves on fostering a dynamic and inclusive work environment where our employees are valued members of the team and are given meaningful projects to work on.
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated Engineering Intern to join our R&D Cooling Lab team. This position offers hands-on experience in thermal management solutions for next-generation, high-performance computing data centers. The ideal candidate will support senior engineers in testing, analyzing, and developing advanced cooling technologies (single-phase liquid, two-phase, and hybrid). You will work with CDUs (Coolant Distribution Units), heat exchangers, pumps, and sensors in a collaborative, fast-paced laboratory setting.
Key Responsibilities
Equal Opportunity Employer: We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.

- Prototyping & Design: Support the modification and development of prototypes using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and collaborate on CAD improvements for next-gen products.
- Troubleshooting & R&D Support: Assist engineers with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of cooling system failures and perform preventative/corrective maintenance.
- Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Academic Knowledge: Good understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics principles.
- Hands-on Skills: Experience with hand tools, lab equipment, or experimental setups (academic projects or previous experience).
- Software Skills: Familiarity with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks) and data analysis tools (Python, MATLAB, or Excel).
- Familiarity with Data Acquisition (DAQ) systems and data collection.
- Programming skills in Python or MATLAB for automation and data analysis.
- Previous experience in student-led engineering competitions (e.g., FSAE, Robotics)
