Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in Kampala for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. The Fellow will conduct advanced research in climate finance and sustainability, analyze data, and contribute to scholarly publications. Responsibilities also include collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, mentoring junior researchers, and supporting teaching initiatives at the center. The Fellow will have the opportunity to engage with stakeholders and participate in workshops and training sessions organized by the center.


Qualifications

  • Strong Research and Data Analysis skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex datasets
  • Expertise in Physics and Laboratory Skills within relevant research contexts
  • Experience and proficiency in Teaching, mentoring, and knowledge dissemination in academic or training environments
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • A Ph.D. in a related field, such as climate science, economics, or sustainability studies
  • A strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals is advantageous
  • Experience in climate finance or sustainability research is a plus
