Design the power systems that will drive the energy transition. Were looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge clean energy systems from C&I solar PV and battery storage to EV charging infrastructure and microgrids. Youll own the full engineering lifecycle, shape grid-interconnected solutions, and work on high-impact projects that power schools, cities, and businesses with clean energy. If you're a licensed California PE with deep experience in electrical systems and a passion for sustainability, we want to hear from you. Develop full construction drawing sets, including single-line and three-line diagrams, in compliance with NEC, IEEE, and utility interconnection requirements. Perform interconnection studies, prepare application packages, and create dynamic system models . Conduct power system studies, including load flow, arc flash, short circuit, harmonic analysis , and protective device coordination. Visit job sites to assess electrical infrastructure and identify optimal ESS, PV, and EVCS installation locations. Manage vendor relationships and integrate innovative DER technologies into scalable solutions. Collaborate with clients, utilities, and contractors to resolve RFIs, code issues, and design changes. Strong knowledge of electrical codes and utility interconnection procedures ~ Familiarity with developing bills of material , equipment specs, and routing plans ~ Help accelerate the shift to clean energy by working on large-scale, high-visibility projects.
