  • Triage and remediate defects during regular DEFT meetings, serving as the frontline escalation point for owned data assets.
  • Establish mutual coverage by cross-training with and backing up the supply-side pipeline owner to ensure seamless business continuity.
  • Catalog and track tool reliability gaps across adjacent capacity-planning applications, building structured defect inventories to drive system-wide improvements.
  • Investigate and resolve complex production anomalies, including pipeline race conditions, disputed handle-rate metric definitions, and downstream access-tagging issues.
  • Collaborate closely with data science and analytics partners to execute thorough knowledge transfers, lineage mapping, and technical handoffs.

Skills & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, a related quantitative discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience maintaining production data pipelines and BI systems (advanced degree not required).
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL for data transformation, querying, and analytical modeling.
  • Hands-on engineering experience within cloud data lake or lakehouse architectures (such as Databricks or equivalent platforms).
  • Proven track record owning, deploying, and maintaining enterprise BI dashboards (Qlik strongly preferred, though other enterprise BI platforms will be considered).
  • Strong background in ETL and data pipeline troubleshooting, with demonstrated success managing schema drift, resolving dependency and race-condition issues, and enforcing data quality checks.
  • Ability to work autonomously and debug live production environments under time constraints, even when working with evolving or incomplete documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical conversations between data science teams and non-technical business planning partners.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Domain familiarity with workforce management or contact center analytics (such as handle-rate definitions, forecast vs. actual performance metrics, and capacity planning).
  • Hands-on experience with modern pipeline orchestration frameworks (such as Superglue, Airflow, or comparable tools).
  • Prior background navigating technical handoffs, data migrations, or asset ownership transfers.
