Key Responsibilities
- Mentor and coach Key Account Managers and Account Managers to drive performance, professional growth, and adoption of best practices in sales.
- Lead the development and execution of strategic account plans, opportunity plans, and visit plans for key clients, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
- Champion value-added selling approaches, focusing on delivering customized solutions and measurable value to customers.
- Oversee account management activities, ensuring strong relationships with existing customers and proactive identification of new business opportunities.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of quotes, proposals, and contract reviews, maintaining compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Work closely with internal teams (engineering, operations, service, and leadership) to address complex client needs and deliver seamless solutions.
- Gather and analyze competitive intelligence, market trends, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies.
- Provide timely and accurate forecasting and reporting to Sales, Operations, and Service leadership.
- Participate in industry and community activities, including trade shows, recruiting, and professional organizations.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all customer agreements and contracts.
- Support credit and payment resolution activities as needed.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
- Partner with other Regional Sales Managers to develop and grow Key Accounts.
- Champion Modine products and drive continuous improvement through feedback to internal teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, sales, marketing or related field.
- 7+ years of related technical sales experience, preferably with experience in coaching and strategic account management.
- Proficient in Microsoft programs (Excel/Word).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, problem solving, strategy development, and team leadership.
- Experience in high growth industry/market preferred.
- Experience with government funding programs preferred.
