This role requires hands-on work with piping, fixtures, and mechanical components to ensure proper functionality and compliance with safety and quality standards.

The General Laborer with plumbing experience will assist in the assembly, installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial and industrial HVAC units and associated plumbing systems. This role requires hands-on work with piping, fixtures, and mechanical components to ensure proper functionality and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Afternoon shift, 3:00pm – 11:30pm, Monday -Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, install, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial plumbing fixtures and systems within HVAC units.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work order specifications to determine layout for water supply networks, waste, and drainage systems.
- Perform precise measurements, cutting, bending, and threading of copper or PVC pipes using hand and power tools (e.g., reamers, copper pipe cutter, pipe thread machine).
- Join and secure pipes, couplings, and fittings using cement, soldering, and brazing techniques.
- Test plumbing systems for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
- Collaborate with the lead hand to meet standard operating procedures and production timelines.
- Ensure safety and quality measures are followed throughout all tasks.
- Measure and mark guidelines for proper HVAC unit parts installation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to company safety policies.
- Minimum 1–2 years of plumbing experience in commercial or industrial settings.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Proficiency in using plumbing tools and equipment (e.g., cutters, threaders, soldering tools).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Punctual and dependable.
- Open to overtime on weekdays and/or weekends, when required.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
