Position Description
A Shipping/Crane Operator is responsible to safely control cranes to load/unload cargo, equipment, and materials focusing on efficient movement, pre-operation checks, maintenance, rigging, and strict adherence to safety protocols while communicating with ground crews, often requiring specific certification and experience for tasks.

A Shipping/Crane Operator is responsible to safely control cranes to load/unload cargo, equipment, and materials focusing on efficient movement, pre-operation checks, maintenance, rigging, and strict adherence to safety protocols while communicating with ground crews, often requiring specific certification and experience for tasks.
Key Responsibilities
As a Shipping/Crane Operator, you will be accountable to:
- Manage and do minor verification of the receipt or packing slips of all products, materials, and supplies
- Oversees loading and unloading of goods
- Compliance with health and safety
- Forklift operator experience (preferred)
- Overhead crane experience (preferred)
- Computer skills / Microsoft Office
- Previous experience in manufacturing environment is an asset.
- At least 2-3 years Shipping/Receiving experience
- Attention to detail, ability to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Physically capable of performing all work-related task and assignments.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
- Must have forklift experience
- Ability to contribute to the teamwork of the department
