About MINML

MINML is reimagining exploration. We are building the technology to find the critical minerals the clean energy transition depends on, faster and with more precision than the industry has ever had, and we will never work in oil and gas.

Our proprietary machine learning model analyses geological, geophysical, and geochemical datasets to generate prospectivity maps and ranked drill targets. We are Cambridge Earth Scientists, and the model is built from the ground up to reflect that: every input feature is grounded in the geological processes that drive ore formation, and every output is explainable.

We've raised our seed round and moved beyond proving the model. MINML now has live client and partner relationships across multiple regions, and we are scaling delivery, owning projects, and exploring our own land. We are a small, ambitious team building something the industry has not seen before.

Project Geologist

You will turn ranked ground into drill targets: pulling apart what the model has flagged, building the geological case for and against it, taking the survivors into the field, and bringing mapping, sampling, and assay results back so the next run of the model is better than the last.

You will also be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day coordination of field and drilling activities, data collection and supervision of field teams to ensure programs are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with technical objectives.

This position suits a geologist who is looking to operate at the forefront of the mineral exploration industry where traditional geological techniques meet machine learning.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years in Mineral Exploration
  • Exposure to a variety of different deposit styles
  • Demonstrated experience of effectively leading people and teams
  • Experience working in remote environments
  • Proficient with geological software e.g. QGIS, ArcGIS, Leapfrog, ioGAS

Education:

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Geology or Earth Sciences (or equivalent).
  • Ideally MSc in a relevant subject area
  • Eligible for Chartership or registration with a relevant professional body

Requirements:

  • Physically fit to perform the duties of the position
  • Right to work in the UK; willing and able to travel internationally for field campaigns
  • Full Driver's Licence

This position is full-time and based in our London office.
