International Trade Division – Green Economy & Sustainability (ITD-GES) - Study on Country's Mitigation and Transfer Potential under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement
What You Will Be Working On
The project entails the development of a structured approach to determine the mitigation potential a partner country can credibly generate and transfer under Article 6. This includes analysing conditional NDC targets, projected mitigation potential, and existing transfer commitments. The project will inform how Singapore priorities countries and plans future cooperation pathways and safeguards against overselling risks, taking into consideration mitigation potential of partners.
Deliverable
A framework/toolkit to assess a country's mitigation and transfer potential, a landscape report of Singapore's IA/MOU partners mitigation potential and potential credit supply and a policy recommendation on how Singapore can safeguard against overselling risks.
