Michaels Energy is seeking a program management professional to lead utility energy efficiency and demand response programs for clients in Minnesota. The Program Manager oversees all aspects of program delivery, including leading a cross-functional team, setting strategy, and meeting financial and contractual goals. We are looking for someone with strong organizational skills, financial acumen, communication skills, and a passion for energy efficiency who will thrive in a team environment and will exemplify our core values. Program and portfolio management Program implementation: Financial management: Develop and manage financial goals, including program budgets, revenue goals, and revenue growth. Develop P&L and other financial statements for programs Establish and manage tools to track and communicate progress towards contract goals, budget, KPIs, and deliverables Document and optimize delivery processes to ensure efficient program implementation Accountable for quality control on program deliverables Hold regular meetings to relay program performance to goals, successes, issues, and ideas for improvements Understand and avoid contract penalties Learn the regulatory environment and stakeholders to shape the program to meet client needs, which could include advancing equity outcomes. Advocate for staff resources from engineering and other groups, including subcontractors, based on the scope to deliver program goals Communicate regularly so each team member understands program expectations (the work, the timeline, and the budget) and their performance Address performance issues, either directly or with supervisors, to ensure a high-functioning program team Lead contracting and management of subcontractors Evaluated the structure and practices of the programs managed and identified areas for improvement to explore over the next 12 months, especially as it relates to the portfolios financial health Contract Renewals Bachelors degree or 6 years of applicable experience ~2-5 years of product or program management experience, preferably in energy efficiency, transportation electrification, or decarbonization ~ Strong project management skills ~ Strong business and financial acumen MBA preferred but not required PMP Certification preferred but not required Work from home, in the office, or a hybrid The top reasons Michaels Energy is an awesome place to work, besides helping the world save energy.
