Account Executive
Demand for energy is exploding worldwide and is the number one bottleneck to economic growth. Yet, the way we manage energy assets today is stuck in the 90s: 100s of documents, spreadsheets, scattered data and humans making reactive decisions from graphs.
Metris is here to change - we’re building Agentic AI for real energy assets. At Metris, we're on a mission to maximise every KW of energy capacity on the grid with AI. Since launch in 2025, Metris we’ve scaled rapidly and we now manage 10,000+ solar projects across the UK, automating monitoring, fault detection, O&M and billing with AI.
Our vision is simple: to become the intelligence layer for the energy grid: monitoring, maintaining and monetising the world’s energy grid with AI. We recently raised $5M Seed round from Top tier VCs to accelerate on our mission.
We are now ready to expand to the German market and hire our first full-time sales hire who can take ownership of the entire sales function in Germany and play a central role in shaping how Metris goes to market — from building a proprietary pipeline to structuring the sales playbook and closing deals.
This is a hands-on, end-to-end sales role. You’ll start by personally driving deals, developing relationships, and refining our value proposition in-market. In parallel, you’ll design and implement the processes, KPIs, and team structure to create a repeatable, predictable revenue engine. The ideal candidate is as comfortable picking up the phone and closing a deal as they are designing sales playbooks.
- Own revenue, end to end
- Drive deals from first touch to close
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across asset management, finance, and sustainability teams
- Manage and grow a high-quality pipeline of B2B customers Build pipeline from scratch
- Design and execute outbound strategies across email, phone, and LinkedIn
- Identify and prioritise target accounts (property owners, asset managers, investors)
- Qualify leads and sharpen messaging based on real market feedback Turn selling into a system
- Define sales processes, KPIs, and forecasting
- Collaborate closely with founders and product to refine the value proposition
- Lay the foundations for a repeatable, predictable revenue engine
Must-haves
- 4–7 years of experience in B2B SaaS or enterprise software sales; Bonus: energy tech experience
- Proven track record of closing mid-market or enterprise deals in a fast-growing startup or scaleup
- Experience owning deals end-to-end, not just top-of-funnel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in England and German
