We are seeking a motivated and skilled Solar Electrician to join our dynamic renewable energy team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar power systems on residential, commercial, and industrial sites. Your expertise will help drive the transition to sustainable energy solutions by ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality electrical work. Duties
- Install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including mounting panels, wiring, and fixture installation on roofs or ground mounts
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate system setup
- Conduct high voltage and low voltage electrical connections following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and safety protocols
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment to ensure optimal system performance
- Collaborate with construction teams on site to coordinate roofing work, plumbing connections, and other related tasks
- Operate forklifts and other construction site machinery safely to transport materials and equipment
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and system upgrades to maximize efficiency and longevity of solar installations
Requirements
- Proven experience as a commercial electrician with a focus on solar or renewable energy projects
- Strong knowledge of high voltage and low voltage electrical systems, schematics, and blueprint reading
- Familiarity with NEC standards and electrical code compliance for solar installations
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and effectively
- Experience with roofing work, fixture installation, plumbing connections related to solar systems preferred
- Construction site experience with a focus on safety protocols and teamwork in dynamic environments
- Valid electrician’s license or certification as required by local regulations
- Ability to operate forklifts or similar machinery (certification preferred)
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in complex electrical setups
