Electrical Designer – Utility-Scale Solar Meridian Stone Search is supporting a search for an Electrical Designer to join a growing renewable energy engineering team focused on utility-scale solar projects. The role will support projects from early-stage design through detailed engineering and construction documentation, working closely with engineering, project management, and other technical disciplines. Key Responsibilities * Develop utility-scale solar electrical layouts and drawing packages * Produce single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, cable routing, and electrical design documentation * Perform conductor sizing, voltage-drop, equipment-sizing, and electrical-loss calculations * Support medium-voltage collection and electrical balance-of-system design * Assist with cable ampacity analysis, energy modeling, and design optimization * Coordinate with internal engineering teams, equipment vendors, and project stakeholders * Support technical documentation, design reviews, and QA/QC Background * 2+ years of solar or related electrical design experience *Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy or similar * Strong AutoCAD skills * Experience with utility-scale PV electrical systems * Familiarity with MV systems, conductor sizing, equipment layouts, and electrical drawings * Working knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards * Engineering or related technical degree preferred Experience with solar design/modeling software, cable studies, BESS, or other renewable technologies is a plus.
